Finding Healing in God’s Presence
There are seasons in life when healing feels far away.
Sometimes the pain is physical. Sometimes it’s emotional. Sometimes it’s the exhaustion of carrying too much for too long.
You may be smiling on the outside while silently asking God on the inside:
“Lord… when will things feel better?”
The beautiful truth is this:
God sees your pain. He is near to the brokenhearted. And healing is never beyond His reach.
God Is Close to the Brokenhearted
One of the most comforting verses about healing is found in Psalms:
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (KJV)
God doesn’t ignore wounds. He tends to them.
Just like a loving Father comforts His child, God meets us gently in our pain. He knows the tears you haven’t told anyone about. He understands the heaviness you carry.
And even when healing takes time, His presence never leaves you.
Healing May Not Always Look the Way We Expect
Sometimes we pray and expect instant answers. Other times, healing happens slowly—in layers.
God may heal through:
Rest
Prayer
Community
Time in His Word
Wise counsel
Quiet moments in His presence
Healing is not always instant, but God is always working.
“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…” — James 5:15 (KJV)
Even in the waiting, God is strengthening you.
Jesus Still Heals
Throughout Scripture, we see Jesus bringing healing wherever He went.
He healed the blind. He healed the sick. He restored the hurting. And He still brings healing today.
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” — Matthew 19:26 (KJV)
Never underestimate what God can do in your life.
What feels impossible to you is not impossible for Him.
When You Feel Weak
Healing journeys can feel exhausting.
Maybe you’re tired of praying.Maybe you feel discouraged. Maybe you wonder if God hears you.
He does.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
God is not asking you to carry everything alone.
You can bring Him:
Your fear
Your anxiety
Your grief
Your weariness
Your disappointment
He can handle all of it.
A Prayer for Healing
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being near to me in every season. You see every hurt, every worry, and every burden I carry. Lord, I ask for Your healing touch over every area of my life that feels broken or weary.
Bring peace where there is anxiety. Bring comfort where there is pain. Bring strength where there is exhaustion.
Help me trust You even when healing takes time. Remind me that You are still working, even when I cannot see it yet.
Fill my heart with hope and surround me with Your presence today.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
