“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 (NASB)
Hey girl! Let’s be real for a second—life can feel super overwhelming sometimes. Maybe you're starting something new, walking through something tough, or just feeling anxious about the future. It's easy to feel small and unsure.
But guess what? God sees you. And in Joshua 1:9, He says something powerful:
Be strong. Be courageous. Don’t be afraid. I’m with you.
That’s not just a sweet suggestion, it’s a promise. One you can hold onto like your favorite hoodie on a rainy day.
You don't have to feel brave to be brave.
Joshua probably didn’t feel ready either. He was taking over after Moses (yeah, that Moses), and leading God’s people into a whole new land. Totally scary. But God didn’t say, “Only be brave if you feel like it.” He said, “Be courageous because I’m with you.”
And He’s with you, too.
Courage looks different every day:
Speaking up when it’s hard
Saying no to something that doesn’t feel right
Being kind when others aren’t
Choosing to trust God when you don’t understand
Praying even when you feel awkward or unsure
Girl, that’s bravery. Not being perfect. Not being fearless. Just showing up and trusting God anyway.
Let’s chat:
What’s something you’re facing right now that feels a little scary? How can you remind yourself that God is with you?
Drop it in your journal, whisper it in a prayer, or talk to your Bible bestie about it. You’re never alone in this.
Remember: God is with you wherever you go. Even when it’s hard.Even when you’re scared.Even when you feel like hiding under the covers.
You’ve got this. Because He’s got you.
